The event was part of activities to mark the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties and 10 years of bilateral strategic partnership.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Ton Sinh Thanh highlighted some characteristics of Vietnam such as area, population, culture as well as the connectivity between the two countries.
He said that there are an abundance of interesting things of Vietnam and India that Indian students can explore during this exchange programme.
Meanwhile, Cultural Counsellor Vu Thi Anh Phuong briefed participants on the history, culture and people of Vietnam as well as outstanding attainments of the country so far.
The Indian students gave various questions on the political, economic and educational cooperation between the two countries, as well as the defense history of Vietnam and the East Sea issues.
They also excitedly joined games about Vietnam.
At the event, Ambassador Ton Sinh Thanh also officially introduced a website on Vietnam-India friendship at www.vietnamindiafriendship.in, and some Vietnam trip programmes for Indian students.
