During the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang highly appreciated the visit of the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group, which takes place amid the robust development of the Vietnam-France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang expressed her deep appreciaiton for the positive sentiments and tangible contributions that the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group at the French Senate has extended to Vietnam, as well as the development of Vietnam-France relations. She urged the friendship parliamentary groups in both countries to further enhance their role as bridges to foster cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two nations and the overall Vietnam-France relationship.

Chairman Alain Cadec and the French Senators expressed their admiration for the beauty of the country and its people, as well as Vietnam's socio-economic achievements. Delighted by the historical and cultural ties between the two nations, especially the preservation of French colonial architecture in daily life, Alain Cadec affirmed that the French Senate and the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group are committed to fostering deeper bilateral relations to match the current level of the France-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He also expressed readiness to accompany Vietnam in its new development phase.
Agreeing with Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang's proposals, Chairman Alain Cadec emphasized the need to maximize the potential for economic cooperation, especially in strategic sectors such as infrastructure with projects in seaports, aviation, high-speed rail, and urban transportation. He also supported the diversification and assurance of energy sources and advocated for the French Parliament to soon ratify the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).
Chairman Alain Cadec acknowledged Vietnam's efforts in implementing EU recommendations on fishing and promised to advocate for the European Commission (EC) to lift the IUU yellow card on Vietnamese seafood.

Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized that Vietnam highly values and appreciates France's support and cooperation in education, high-quality human resource training, science and technology, innovation, healthcare, culture, archiving, and preservation. She suggested that both sides deepen and expand cooperation in these areas, including the restoration and promotion of the cultural and historical values of Long Biên Bridge.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang urged the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group and the French Senators, with their roles and voices, to continue facilitating the Vietnamese community's work, study, and integration in France.

Both sides agreed to further promote tourism cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, Francophonie, and connections between localities. They also plan to organize the 13th Conference on Cooperation between Vietnamese and French Localities in France. Regarding the East Sea issue, both sides reaffirmed the importance of maintaining peace, stability, prosperity, and an order based on international law. They emphasized the importance of freedom and safety of navigation and overflight in the East Sea and supported ASEAN's stance on resolving disputes through peaceful means in accordance with international law, particularly the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
