COVID-19: Vietnam has 33 days without new community infections
Vietnam has reported no new locally transmitted coronavirus infections for the past 12 hours after confirming four more imported cases on May 18 afternoon.

The four imported cases included two Vietnamese flight attendants returning from coronavirus-hit Russia on May 13. The other two patients were among 345 Vietnamese passengers boarding another flight from the US, a global coronavirus hotspot, to Vietnam on May 16.
By 6am on May 19 Vietnam had recorded a total of 324 coronavirus patients, of whom 263 patients had recovered and received hospital discharge. No deaths have been reported, the Ministry of Health said in its May 19 morning update.
Of the total number of infections confirmed, 184 had returned from epidemic hit countries such as the US, France, Germany, Russia, the UK, Japan, the Republic of Korea and several Southeast Asian nations.
The number of people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients and returned from overseas has declined to 11,326, who are now being quarantined for medical observation.
Sixty-one active patients are receiving treatment at health facilities nationwide, with less than 10 have tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the COVID-19 disease.
May 19 is the 33rd consecutive day Vietnam has not detected any community-acquired infections, according to the Ministry of Health.
