This meaningful event aimed to honour Vietnamese language teachers in Russia, spreading the spirit and deepening the tradition of “Gratitude to those who came before” and “Respect for teachers” among Vietnamese children in Russia.
The program also provided an opportunity for Vietnamese students studying in Russia and children of the Vietnamese community in Russia to express their deep gratitude to generations of teachers who have dedicated themselves to education, especially in preserving, using, and promoting the Vietnamese language and culture in Russia.
The celebration featured lively and exciting activities. Students showcased their talents through self-drawn wall newspapers, beautifully written notebooks, and unique cultural performances rich in national identity.
Particularly, the atmosphere of the ceremony became more vibrant as guests and audiences enjoyed and attentively listened to students presenting their works at the final round of the "From Old Leaves, Nurturing Gratitude" competition.
Each work and presentation contained the sincere feelings of the students, demonstrating creativity and deep gratitude towards their grandparents, parents, and teachers.
Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the Vietnamese Party Committee in Russia affirmed that the Party Committee and the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia always highly appreciate the significant contributions of educators, lecturers, and those involved in education within the community.
Teachers not only impart knowledge but also help preserve the Vietnamese language, nurture love for the homeland, and instill a sense of responsibility in the young Vietnamese generation in Russia.
Meanwhile, the tradition of "respecting teachers" is a core value of the Vietnamese nation, and all activities directed towards November 20 contribute to strengthening solidarity within the community.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Giao – a parent of two students attending the "Tieng Viet vui" program, highly appreciated the organization of the Vietnamese Teachers' Day celebration in Russia.
Mr. Giao shared that bringing his children to participate in the event is very important in educating the nation's principle of "gratitude to those who came before". According to him, the event helps the Vietnamese children born in Russia to better understand their mother tongue and improve their Vietnamese speaking skills.
