At the voter consultation meeting organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Da Ward (February 4), Mr. To Huy Vu received unanimous approval from all attending voters to be nominated. Previously, he also received 100% confidence from voters at his workplace.
Mr. To Huy Vu currently leads Agribank, the largest state-owned commercial bank in Vietnam, with the most extensive network in the system. Over nearly four decades of development, Agribank has consistently played a pivotal role in investing in the 'three agricultural sectors', significantly contributing to the country's socio-economic development.
In Hanoi, the political, administrative, and economic center of the nation, Agribank remains the key commercial bank providing capital for agriculture, rural areas, small and medium enterprises, cooperatives, and business households. It actively implements policy credit programs, supports high-tech agriculture, builds new rural areas, and promotes financial inclusion. The nomination by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, along with the trust from voters at his workplace and residence, to run for the 16th National Assembly in Constituency No. 8 – Hanoi, further affirms the confidence voters have in Mr. To Huy Vu, as well as Agribank's role and responsibility in the nation's development journey.
With extensive leadership experience at the Ministry of Commerce, the State Bank of Vietnam, and now as the head of Agribank – the largest state-owned commercial bank in the country, serving the 'three agricultural sectors', Mr. Vu has had the opportunity to directly advise on financial and banking policies, manage monetary policy, and implement numerous credit programs for agriculture and rural areas. This foundation enables him to understand the relationship between macroeconomic policies and the practical lives of citizens and businesses.
Mr. To Huy Vu pledges absolute loyalty to the Nation, the People, and the Constitution; to continuously cultivate political bravery, ethics, and lifestyle; to resolutely fight against corruption and wastefullness; and to uphold the spirit of serving the People.
