Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung receives Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha
WVR - On September 23, in New York, Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Le Hoai Trung met with Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha as part of the activities at the High-Level General Debate of the 80th United Nations General Assembly, combined with bilateral activities in the United States.

Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung affirmed that Vietnam always values and seeks to strengthen the traditional friendship, partnership, and comprehensive cooperation with Ukraine. Vietnam always remembers the sincere support and assistance from the Soviet people, including Ukraine, during its national liberation and unification efforts in the past, as well as in today's national development.
Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized that as a friend of both Russia and Ukraine, Vietnam consistently maintains a balanced, objective stance in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He stressed that all disputes should be resolved through peaceful means, in accordance with the fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter. Vietnam supports and is ready to participate in international mediation efforts to promote dialogue and seek a long-term peaceful solution to the conflict involving all relevant parties.
For his part, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha affirmed that Ukraine values its traditional friendship with Vietnam and expressed gratitude for Vietnam's objective and constructive stance.
Both sides also shared the need to maintain and promote bilateral cooperation through contact, delegation exchanges at all levels, and to seek effective and appropriate measures to continue developing bilateral economic and trade cooperation, serving the interests of both countries.
