On the afternoon of September 11, as part of his working trip to Dong Nai Province, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Chairman of the National Commission for UNESCO Vietnam Nguyen Minh Vu visited and worked with the Department of Foreign Affairs of Dong Nai Province.
Attending the session were Provincial Party Committee Member and Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thị Hoang, along with leaders and staff of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Dong Nai Province.
Speaking at the session, Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized that our country is entering a new era of development with the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2045.
The Foreign Affairs sector, having just celebrated its 80th anniversary, is expected by the Party and State to play a pioneering role in maintaining a peaceful environment, enhancing the country's position, and promoting international cooperation. In this effort, local foreign affairs departments act as extended arms, turning foreign policy directives into concrete, practical outcomes.
Praising Dong Nai's proactive and creative approach in expanding international cooperation, attracting investment, and promoting the local image, the Permanent Deputy Minister highlighted that with its position as a connecting land between the Southern Region, the Southern Central Region, and the Southern Central Highlands, playing a crucial role in the southern key economic region, Dong Nai possesses numerous advantages for strong breakthroughs.
Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu urged the Department of Foreign Affairs to continue refining its strategic foreign affairs vision aligned with the province's long-term development goals; to fully exploit the advantages of transportation infrastructure, Long Thanh Airport, and the industrial ecosystem to boost economic diplomacy.
Additionally, the Permanent Deputy Minister called for Dong Nai to strengthen connections with 98 Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to expand the cooperation network, attract high-quality investment, green technology, and digital transformation; to integrate cultural diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy into international events, showcasing Dong Nai's unique cultural values and identity to the world; and to enhance forecasting capabilities, strategic advisory, and citizen protection efforts.

Speaking at the session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for consistently supporting Đồng Nai in various important matters, from investment cooperation and trade promotion to border management and citizen protection. The Vice Chairman affirmed that the provincial leadership will continue to facilitate the Department of Foreign Affairs in enhancing its role as a bridge, deepening local foreign affairs efforts to effectively serve the province's socio-economic development.

Representing the Department of Foreign Affairs, Director Huynh Thi Be Nam expressed honor and joy at welcoming Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu and the delegation, considering it a significant encouragement for the department.
The Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs stated: With the close attention and guidance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee, Dong Nai's foreign affairs activities are deepening, achieving practical results, contributing to expanding international cooperation and promoting the province's socio-economic development.
Despite facing many challenges after the merger, the Department is striving to stabilize its organization, strengthen its staff, and establish coordination processes with other departments to ensure foreign affairs truly become a driving force for development. The Department will focus on strategic long-term foreign affairs planning, enhancing cooperation with neighboring localities, economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy, and promoting Đồng Nai's image internationally.
Simultaneously, the Department is committed to rigorously implementing the Ministry's directives, enhancing research and forecasting capabilities, and proactively proposing cooperative initiatives with foreign representative agencies to maximize international resources for the province's sustainable development.
