80 years of Vietnamese Diplomacy: Diplomatic Academy students share Gen Z perspectives
WVR - On the morning of August 25, on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the establishment of the Diplomatic sector (28/8/1945-28/8/2025) and the awarding of the First-Class Labour Medal , the World and Vietnam Report interviewed students from the Diplomatic Academy participating in supporting this significant event.

Honour and pride
Truong Tien Hai, a student of the 51st cohort in English Language at the Diplomatic Academy, could not hide his pride and honour at being one of the young student faces having the opportunity to be part of the grand celebration of Vietnam's Diplomacy, especially as the country approaches the 80th National Day anniversary (September 2/1945 - September 2/2025).
As a young representative of the "vibrant generation" of the Diplomatic Academy, Hai sees this as a valuable opportunity to cultivate knowledge and nurture gratitude and a spirit of dedication to the nation.
He believes that as the country enters a new era of growth, this knowledge becomes more practical and necessary than ever.
Truong Tien Hai also expressed his emotions upon meeting high-ranking Party and State leaders for the first time. For him, this was an incredibly new and unforgettable experience.
On this occasion, Hai wished the Vietnamese Diplomacy continued sustainable development, maintaining resilience and strength to overcome the current global challenges and changes.

Beautiful and memorable memories
Dinh Khanh Ly, a student of the 51st cohort in International Relations at the Diplomatic Academy, also expressed her honour and pride in contributing to this significant event while still in school.
For Ly, today's experience will be a beautiful and memorable memory and a great motivation for her to continue striving on the diplomatic path she has chosen.
Sharing her special impressions of the ceremony, Khanh Ly expressed deep admiration for Madame Nguyen Thi Biình, former Central Committee member, former Vice President, former Foreign Minister of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam, and former Head of the Liberation Front Delegation of South Vietnam, who was present at the event.
According to her, former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh is not only a brilliant diplomat but also a resilient woman who has made significant contributions to diplomacy and the overall development of the country.
"Madame Binh is a shining example, not only for myself but also for many young people at 69 Chua Lang – the next generations of Vietnam's Diplomacy," Khanh Ly emphasized.

Valuable opportunity to train and gain experience
Attending the Anniversary as an event support staff, Le Thi Thu Minh, a student of the 50th cohort in International Economics at the Diplomatic Academy, participated.
For her, contributing to this grand ceremony is a great honor and pride, as well as a valuable opportunity to train and gain experience for herself.
Sharing her feelings about the "big day" of the sector, Thu Minh emphasized that the atmosphere of the anniversary was "truly heroic and full of pride". The speeches, images, and films depicting the 80 glorious years of Vietnamese diplomacy left her deeply moved. She believes these are invaluable historical and spiritual values for the younger generation, especially students at the Diplomatic Academy, to learn and continue.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Diplomatic Sector, Thu Minh sends her sincere wishes: May the sector continue to grow stronger, spreading the image of Vietnam to international friends. She also hopes that the diplomatic staff will continuously enhance their skills and knowledge to meet the demands of the new context. To her fellow students at the Academy, she advises everyone to continue nurturing their passion, staying steadfast in their choices, and contributing to the common cause of the sector and the country.
