The program provided an opportunity for the Embassy to meet new students, offering practical information about the study environment, living conditions, and important regulations. It also facilitated connections, experience sharing, and mutual support among students during their studies and research in Hungary.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Bui Le Thai congratulated the new students of the 2026-2027 cohort, expressing hopes that the young individuals would quickly integrate into the international study environment, actively engage in learning, research, and training, while fostering a spirit of unity, mutual support, and assistance in both academic and daily life.

The Ambassador emphasised that, in addition to acquiring specialized knowledge, students and researchers should take advantage of their time in Hungary to proactively build networks with professors, scientists, experts, and research institutions in their fields of study.
Particularly in fields such as science, technology, innovation, and high-tech, which Vietnam is keen to develop, these connections will be invaluable resources for cooperation, knowledge transfer, and future links between Vietnam and Hungary.

The Ambassador also expressed the hope that after completing their studies and research in Hungary, the young individuals would return to Vietnam, bringing with them the knowledge, experience, skills, and professional relationships they have accumulated to apply in practice, making tangible contributions to the country's development.
Besides striving for academic excellence, the Ambassador hopes that students and researchers will actively participate in social and community activities, especially those organized by the Vietnamese Association in Hungary, the Vietnamese Student Association in Hungary, and the Embassy.

Through these activities, students not only have more opportunities to interact, develop skills, and expand relationships but also contribute to building a more united and cohesive Vietnamese community in Hungary, preserving national cultural identity, and promoting the image of Vietnam and its people to Hungarian and international friends.
Affirming that the Embassy is always the “common home” for the Vietnamese community in Hungary, Ambassador Bui Le Thai stated that the Embassy is ready to listen, support, and accompany students and researchers in their studies, research, and daily life, thereby helping them feel secure in their studies, personal development, and positive contributions to the community and the country.

At the meeting, new students discussed issues of interest during their studies and life in Hungary, while also networking and connecting with generations of Vietnamese students studying in Hungary.
