Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh conveyed the congratulations from Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos Thongsavanh Phomvihane, to Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Bui Thanh Son, along with the leadership and all officials and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.
During the meeting, the Lao Ambassador warmly congratulated the significant and comprehensive achievements that the Party, State, and people of Vietnam have accomplished over the past 80 years. These include the crucial contributions of Vietnam's diplomatic sector, particularly in maintaining political and social stability, dynamic economic development, and steadfast national defense and security, while continuously enhancing international standing. The Ambassador praised Vietnam's position as one of the world's top 30 largest economies, with diplomatic relations with 194 countries, and as a trading partner with over 200 global markets.
On behalf of Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, the leadership, and all officials and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong expressed deep gratitude for the warm congratulations from the Ambassador and the Lao Embassy staff. He emphasized that the Party, State, and people of Vietnam always cherish the steadfast and loyal solidarity that the Party, State, and people of Laos have extended to Vietnam in the past struggle for national independence and in the current efforts of nation-building and development.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong affirmed that the Vietnam-Laos relationship is a unique and rare bond globally, meticulously built by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane, and President Suphanouvong, and continuously nurtured by generations of leaders and people of both countries.
Both sides agreed to continue strengthening close and effective coordination between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs, especially in implementing high-level agreements between the two countries, preparing well for important visits and commemorative activities, and enhancing consultation and coordination of positions at regional and international forums. This will contribute to protecting national interests, enhancing each country's international standing, and further strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere of solidarity, vividly reflecting the close and loyal relationship between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the two countries, Vietnam and Laos.
