VITA AWARDS 2026 honours exemplary representatives of Vietnam's tourism

WVR - On the occasion of the 66th anniversary of Vietnam Tourism Day (July 9, 1960 - July 9, 2026), the Vietnam Tourism Association, in collaboration with the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province, organized the VITA AWARDS 2026 Ceremony, honoring 106 awards across 9 categories for exemplary localities, organizations, enterprises, and development models.

VITA AWARDS 2026 not only acknowledges outstanding contributions to the tourism sector but also spreads the spirit of innovation, digital transformation, green transition, and sustainable tourism development in the new era.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Pham Van Thuy, Deputy Director of the National Administration of Tourism of Vietnam; Mr. Tran Song Tung, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province; Mr. Bui Van Manh, Director of the Department of Tourism of Ninh Binh Province; leaders of the Vietnam Tourism Association, local tourism management departments, local tourism associations, and numerous enterprises and entities operating in the tourism sector nationwide.

Notably, the award ceremony gathered representatives from 106 collectives, enterprises, and units from 20 provinces and cities honored at VITA AWARDS 2026, affirming the award's position as a forum connecting management agencies, professional associations, and the tourism business community.

In her opening speech, Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, stated that VITA AWARDS 2026 is the first edition organized with the aim of establishing a prestigious, objective, and transparent professional award to honor localities, organizations, enterprises, destinations, tourism villages, and exemplary development models that have significantly contributed to the development of Vietnam's tourism industry.

According to Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, VITA AWARDS is not just an honoring activity but also an action message from the Vietnam Tourism Association to spread positive values, encourage innovation, promote digital transformation, green transition, and responsible tourism development. The 106 awards given this year are a well-deserved recognition of the efforts of the business community and localities, while also motivating units to continue improving service quality, building brands, and enhancing development linkages.

Representing the host locality, Mr. Bui Van Manh, Director of the Department of Tourism of Ninh Binh Province, affirmed that being chosen to host VITA AWARDS 2026 is an honor for the province. He stated that with advantages in natural resources, culture, and history, especially the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex along with a system of relics, craft villages, and unique tourism products, Ninh Binh is aiming to build a high-quality, green, smart, and sustainable destination.

According to Mr. Bui Van Manh, a destination brand is not created by slogans or symbols but is built from the quality of products, services, the professionalism of enterprises, the friendliness of the people, and the satisfaction of tourists. Therefore, Ninh Binh's tourism sector will continue to promote digital transformation, green transition, strengthen regional linkages, and expand international cooperation to enhance the competitiveness of the destination.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Pham Van Thuy, Deputy Director of the National Administration of Tourism of Vietnam, emphasized that Vietnam's tourism is entering a new development phase with increasing demands for quality, branding, competitiveness, and sustainable development.

In the context of Vietnam continuing to affirm its position as a safe and attractive destination in the international market, the tourism sector needs to shift from extensive to intensive development, focusing on quality and added value.

Mr. Pham Van Thuy highly appreciated the role of the Vietnam Tourism Association in accompanying state management agencies and affirmed that the business community is the pioneering force directly creating products, services, jobs, and contributing to shaping the image of Vietnam's tourism in the eyes of tourists.

With the message "Honoring Value – Spreading Brand – Connecting Development", VITA AWARDS 2026 awarded 106 prizes across 9 categories to localities, organizations, and enterprises from 20 provinces and cities nationwide.

The awards honor effective development models, attractive destinations, exemplary enterprises, as well as initiatives in digital transformation, green tourism, digital communication, and responsible tourism development, contributing to enhancing the quality, brand, and competitiveness of Vietnam's tourism in the context of international integration.

Concluding the program, Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan officially launched the VITA AWARDS 2027, continuing to seek and honor exemplary localities, enterprises, destinations, products, and initiatives in the tourism sector.

The Vietnam Tourism Association also calls on localities, associations, enterprises, and media agencies to continue to accompany and introduce effective models, contributing to building Vietnam's tourism industry to become more professional, green, smart, and sustainably developed.
