Speaking at the program, Ms. Pham Thi Kim Hoa, Deputy Head of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, expressed her emotions and appreciation for the sentiments of the Vietnamese community in Poland, especially the members of the Hoang Sa-Truong Sa Club, who always look towards their homeland’s seas and islands with practical actions.
The idea of building a green vegetable garden was conceived after a visit to Truong Sa and DK-I Rig by the overseas Vietnamese delegation in April 2025.
Concerned about the living conditions of the soldiers and civilians on the island, the club proactively proposed and mobilized the community to contribute to improving living conditions and enhancing food self-sufficiency in Truong Sa.
This is not only a material contribution but also a testament to national solidarity and the affection of overseas Vietnamese for the frontline islands.
Ms. Cao Hong Vinh, President of the Hoang Sa-Truong Sa Club in Poland, shared her emotions when representing the Vietnamese community in Poland to send this meaningful gift to Truong Sa.

She affirmed: "We – those far from the homeland, always carry the sacred image of our homeland’s seas and islands in our hearts.
After visiting Truong Sa, we understand more about the hardships and resilient spirit of the officers, soldiers, and people on the island. Supporting the green vegetable garden is not just to improve living conditions but also to express our desire to accompany Truong Sa in the long term.
Each vegetable bed, each green patch growing on the island will be a message from the Vietnamese community in Poland that Truong Sa is always in our hearts. The first garden of the project will be implemented soon on Truong Sa Island and is expected to be inaugurated during the visit of the overseas Vietnamese delegation to Truong Sa in 2026.
The Vietnamese community in Poland is always ready to continue accompanying initiatives towards the seas and islands, considering it a sacred responsibility of overseas Vietnamese".
