On the afternoon of April 2, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ regular press conference, Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang responded to a reporter’s question about Vietnam’s views on the dialogue and current situation in Cuba, as well as how Vietnam could contribute to the normalization process between Cuba and the United States.
She said Vietnam hopes the two sides will soon reach common ground to move towards improving and normalising relations for the benefit of their peoples, and for peace, cooperation, stability, and development in the region and the world.
The Spokesperson stated that Vietnam is closely following the developments and is confident that Cuba will overcome the current difficulties and challenges.
“Once again, Vietnam reaffirms its traditional solidarity and friendship with the Cuban people and consistently supports the United Nations General Assembly resolutions calling for the removal of the unilateral embargo against Cuba,” Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang emphasized.
