This is a peer leaders forum for Vietnamese and Singaporean leaders to share management experiences and solutions to business challenges to maintain business growth and sustainability in the new normal.

The Forum includes key contents on Global energy sector development: trends, challenges, opportunities, and strategic implications for Vietnam; Methods of Navigating through COVID-19 of leading regional corporations such as Temasek Holdings, Sembcorp Industries, etc.

Speakers participating in the Forum are regionally influential senior leaders such as Mr. Douglas Foo, President of Singapore Manufacturing Federation, Chairman of Vietnam - Singapore Business Council, Nominated Member of Parliament of Singapore; Mr. Vu Minh Khuong, Associate Professor from National University of Singapore, who has many years of providing senior advice for many government agencies, corporations and large organizations in the world such as the United Nations Development Program, International Monetary Fund, World Bank; Mr. Fadah Alsagoff, Member of Management Team, Head of Enterprise Development – Temasek Holdings, Singapore; Mr. Wong Kim Yin, Group President & CEO of Sembcorp Industries, who has over 20 years of leadership experience in energy and investment management.

The reason why the organizers choose Singapore and this country's enterprises as a model for sharing experience is that Singapore has been recognized to handle and control Covid-19 effectively. For the duration of the pandemic, Singapore has been ranked first in the post-Covid-19 resilience rankings by Bloomberg.

In particular, in the most recent speech on October 9, 2021, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong outlined Singapore government's strategy to "be a COVID resilient nation". In fact, Singapore government concluded a few months ago that a "Zero-Covid" strategy was no longer feasible, with the strategy changed to "Living with Covid-19" instead.

According to data from the Foreign Investment Agency (Ministry of Planning and Investment), Singapore was the largest foreign investor in Vietnam in 2020. As of August 20, 2021, Singapore's investment in Vietnam continued to top with a total investment of USD 6.2 billion, accounting for more than 32.5% of the total investment capital in Vietnam.

“We make efforts and focus our resources to make Vietnam - Singapore Board Forum successful and bring practical values because this is not only a peer leaders forum for business leaders of the two countries to share management experiences and solutions to business challenges to maintain business growth and sustainability even in crisis and challenging contexts, but also a forum for creating values and further tightening the good relationship between Vietnam and Singapore", said Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hang, CEO of VIETSTAR – Forum Organizer.

The Forum will be held on October 21, 2021 at Fortuna Hotel Hanoi with the number of participants as required by Vietnam’s Law in Covid-19 context in conjunction with Zoom Webinar in Singapore and other places in Vietnam.

The forum co-organizer with VIETSTAR is Paris Graduate School of Management (PGSM) which has become a well-known and internationally recognized brand with its postgraduate training programs and leaders programs.
