The delegates expressed a spirit of consensus and agreement at the meeting.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their delight at the positive development of Poland-ASEAN relations in recent times, especially amidst global economic fluctuations. ASEAN is currently one of the most dynamic economies, with a growth rate and a market of nearly 700 million people, with an increasing demand for cooperation in trade, investment, digital transformation, green economy, and innovation.

Meanwhile, Poland, the sixth-largest economy in the European Union (EU), with its significant role in Central and Eastern Europe as well as in the EU, is a very potential partner for enhanced cooperation.

ASEAN representatives suggested that Poland continue to facilitate ASEAN goods' access to the Polish and EU markets, and proposed strengthening the negotiation and effective implementation of free trade agreements between the EU and ASEAN countries.

In discussions at the meeting, Deputy Speaker Szymon Hołownia affirmed that Poland values strengthening relations with ASEAN as the country positions itself as a “middle power”, identifying Southeast Asia as one of the important cooperation focal points.

He emphasized that Poland could become a gateway for ASEAN to access the European market, while ASEAN serves as a bridge for Poland to expand its presence in the region.

Beyond traditional fields, Poland wishes to promote new cooperation models based on innovation and technology transfer, aiming towards developing a “decentralized” value chain and increasing local production.

Regarding parliamentary cooperation, the parties agreed to enhance delegation exchanges, share legislative, supervisory, and policy-making experiences, thereby contributing to strengthening the political and legal foundation for bilateral and interregional relations. They also emphasized the importance of maintaining a peaceful, stable environment and respecting international law.
