Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang informed that on September 15, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien sent a letter to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, calling on the Department and NOAA to reconsider the decision. She stressed that the request aimed to prevent serious disruptions to bilateral trade and safeguard the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese fishermen and workers.

According to Spokesperson Hang, under the guidance of the Government and with the support of local authorities, Vietnam's seafood industry has been striving to modernize, enhance responsibility, and strengthen fisheries management.

In the coming time, based on the Vietnam-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, Vietnam is ready to engage and work with the United States to resolve existing issues and continue to promote fair and sustainable bilateral trade cooperation, ensuring the legitimate interests of the people and businesses of both sides, the Spokesperson emphasized.
