In her speech at the ceremony, Consul General Doan Phuong Lan shared the significance of the August Revolution of 1945 and noted that over the past 80 years, Vietnam has traversed many challenging yet glorious paths. From the fiery years of fierce wars to defend the nation to the reconstruction and renewal efforts, Vietnam has emerged as a peaceful, developing nation with responsibility and standing on the international stage.
Vietnam has made remarkable strides, with its economy ranking among the world's top 32 largest economies, top 20 in trade scale, and among the 15 developing countries attracting the most investment. Vietnam consistently pursues an independent, self-reliant, multilateral, and diversified foreign policy, being a friend, a reliable partner, and a responsible member of the international community.
Consul General Doan Phuong Lan affirmed that these achievements are even more meaningful when shared with friends and close partners, including South Korea – Vietnam's comprehensive strategic partner.
