U.S. Secretary of State congratulates Vietnam on the 80th National Day anniversary

On behalf of the U.S. Government, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of the 80th National Day on September 2.

In a press release issued on September 1, Rubio stated:

“On behalf of the United States Government, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of Vietnam’s National Day.

As we commemorate this historic event, we reaffirm our commitment to deepening the relationship between our two nations. Together, we will continue to promote peace, prosperity, and security for the American and Vietnamese people, as well as the entire Indo-Pacific region.

On this special day, I send my warmest wishes to the people of Vietnam. May you have a joyful celebration and a prosperous year ahead.”
