Vietnamese community in Romania celebrates 80th National Day with enthusiasm

The event saw the participation of all embassy staff and their families, along with about 200 representatives from the community, students, and Vietnamese residents living, studying, and working in Romania.

In his speech at the ceremony, Ambassador Do Duc Thanh highlighted the historical significance of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. He also emphasized several key achievements over the past 80 years and recent comprehensive reforms, preparing for a new era of national development.
The Ambassador praised and acknowledged the positive contributions of the Vietnamese Association in Romania and other Vietnamese organizations in fostering community development and unity. He urged the community to continue upholding the tradition of solidarity, mutual support, and cultural preservation, while always maintaining a connection to their homeland. He also pledged ongoing support and assistance to the community.

The Ambassador also provided information on new regulations designed to facilitate the community's activities and urged vigilance against online scams and misinformation on social media. He expressed hope for the community's growth, legal status enhancement, and increased participation, overcoming new challenges in integration.

On this occasion, Chairman Pham Duy Hung summarized the Association's activities and highlighted the community's efforts to overcome difficulties, integrate into local society, and participate in homeland-oriented activities.
Mr. Pham Duy Hung expressed the community's gratitude for the Embassy's support, such as successfully organizing Vietnamese language classes for community children at the Embassy and arranging for children to attend the 2025 Summer Camp in Vietnam.
The organizers also held a closing ceremony for the 2025 Summer Vietnamese language class for community children and a Vietnamese Language Honoring Ceremony within the Vietnamese community in Romania. Representatives from the Vietnamese Association and the Parents' Association praised the efforts of teachers and students over the summer, contributing positively to the Vietnamese Language Honoring movement.
The cultural and sports activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 were enthusiastically participated in by generations of Vietnamese expatriates in Romania, fostering unity and connection to their homeland.
