On the afternoon of November 17, in Busan, Vietnam Consul General in Busan Doan Phuong Lan met with Mr. Song Bok Chul, Director of the Busan Economic Promotion Agency (BEPA), to discuss future cooperation directions between the Consulate General of Vietnam in Busan and BEPA.
Consul General Doan Phuong Lan provided information on Vietnam's economic development, market potential, and cooperation prospects between Vietnamese localities and Busan. She proposed that BEPA collaborate to develop a joint work plan for 2026, including promoting trade and export delegations from Busan to Vietnam and vice versa, enhancing investment attraction, technology cooperation, and startups.
BEPA Director Song Bok Chul highly appreciated Vietnam's development potential and the economic-trade-investment cooperation between Vietnam and Republic of Korea. He expressed confidence that the Consulate General of Vietnam in Busan will contribute to promoting substantive cooperation between localities and businesses of the two countries, including Busan enterprises. He affirmed active coordination with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Busan to organize trade and investment promotion activities, and support small and medium-sized enterprises and startups. Mr. Song Bok Chul also shared information on the results of BEPA's ongoing trade promotion programs in the Vietnamese market.
The Busan Economic Promotion Agency is a non-profit organization established by the Busan City Government and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of Republic of Korea.
