On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, designer Dung Nguyen launched the project “Love Ao Dai, Love the Homeland”. For the opening photo shoot, he invited the Top 3 of Miss Vietnam 2024, Captain Pham Dieu (right) and Lieutenant Phung The Van (left) to participate.

Designer Dung Nguyen shared: “I want to convey a message of love for the homeland, national pride, and the strong bond between the home and the frontline”.

With his handsome appearance and 1.85m height, he once went viral after taking part in the military parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification (30 April), earning the nickname “the bodyguard heartthrob”.

Comrade Phung The Van, 26, stands 1.85m tall, from Bac Kan. He is currently serving with Regiment 600, Guard Command, Ministry of Public Security and previously appeared on the television programme “We Are Soldiers 2020”.

On 3 August, he joined a special performance on Hoan Kiem Lake alongside officers of the Special Task Regiment.

Second Lieutenant Phung The Van alongside Runner-up Chau Anh. Chau Anh shines in the “National Day” ao dai, embodying the gentle and graceful beauty of Vietnamese women.

In addition to the top three beauty queens, designer Dung Nguyen also invited many well-known faces to participate in this special project, including couple Lan Huong and Do Ky, Quynh Nga, Thu Quynh and singer Duong Hoang Yen.

Born in 1987, Dung Nguyen currently lives and works in Hanoi. He founded his Ao dai brand in 2015, focusing on traditional hand embroidery combined with highly practical silhouettes.
