The International Culinary Culture Festival brings Vietnam-Argentina people closer together: Argentine Ambassador
WVR - The 2025 International Culinary Culture Festival, under the theme “Trip of Flavours – A Journey of Flavours Around the World”, is scheduled to take place on 22-23 November in Hanoi, promising to present a vibrant picture of the culinary essences of Vietnam and countries around the world. On this occasion, The World and Vietnam Report had the opportunity to interview Mr. Marcos Antonio Bednarski, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Vietnam, about the Embassy’s preparations for the Festival.

Ambassador Marcos Antonio Bednarski shared that the International Culinary Culture Festival has long been part of the Argentine Embassy’s annual agenda, and they are always delighted to participate.

The event is one of the Embassy’s key cultural diplomacy activities. For the 2025 edition, he hopes that awareness of Argentine cuisine will continue to expand among Vietnamese and international visitors.
The Embassy plans to introduce traditional dishes such as choripanes served with chimichurri, meat and vegetarian empanadas, alfajores, and dulce de leche - classic desserts from Argentina.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy high-quality Argentine wines and a healthy traditional beverage, yerba mate.
According to Ambassador Bednarski, preparations for the festival require careful attention, as the Embassy is representing the country’s image. One of their major advantages is the support of “Los Fuegos,” an authentic Argentine restaurant in Hanoi that helps prepare the dishes.

The Ambassador emphasized that the International Culinary Culture Festival plays an important role in strengthening friendship, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding between Vietnam and other countries. He noted that Vietnamese people are very open to exploring new flavours and enthusiastic about international cuisine, which greatly supports the goal of bringing two nations Vietnam-Argentina closer together.
The diplomat also mentioned a unique point of connection: Argentina is the current world football champion and enjoys a strong fan base in Vietnam.
Reflecting on his first participation in the Festival last year, Ambassador Bednarski recalled being deeply impressed by the warm, friendly atmosphere and the joy with which people engaged in the event. Many visitors stopped by the Argentine booth to share kind comments, and the Embassy’s tango performance received remarkable support from the audience.
He concluded with heartfelt appreciation to the organizers for the opportunity to take part in the festival, not only to showcase Argentine cuisine but also to express solidarity with the Vietnamese community by contributing to charitable activities.
