Following the merger, new development spaces have opened up new motivations and opportunities for Thai Nguyen. Speaking at the program, General Secretary, President To Lam affirmed that Thai Nguyen is a land with a heroic historical tradition and strong solidarity, once a safe haven for the Party Central Committee and President Ho Chi Minh during the resistance against the French.

Building on that solid foundation and President Ho Chi Minh's advice, “Our province has many favourable conditions, all compatriots and officials must strive to make Thai Nguyen one of the richest and most prosperous provinces in the North of our country,” has inspired generations of Thai Nguyen people to work creatively to build their homeland.

He emphasised that the First-Class Labour Medal awarded today is the Party and State's recognition of the achievements of the Party, government, and ethnic people of Thai Nguyen in the cause of building, developing, and defending the nation.

According to General Secretary, President To Lam, as Thai Nguyen approaches the 200th anniversary of its establishment in 2031 and further aims to join the nation in achieving development aspirations by 2045, the province needs to strive to be a locality with synchronised infrastructure, modern governance, and an increasingly high quality of life.

The province should focus on five key tasks: Building a clean, strong Party Committee capable of leading long-term development, ensuring smooth operation of two-level local government; enhancing the capacity of the commune level, especially in highland areas, to ensure citizens' convenience in resolving matters; enhancing the autonomy of the industrial sector; and preserving and promoting tea cultural values, as well as ensuring social welfare.

General Secretary and President To Lam expressed confidence that, with a revolutionary tradition, self-reliance, and the strength of solidarity, the ethnic people of Thai Nguyen will fulfil President Ho Chi Minh's advice, striving to become a high-income, developed province before 2045, contributing increasingly to the nation's development.
