Symphony Orchestra to feature in special concert celebrating 80th anniversary of Vietnam-America Association

WVR - On October 16, the 80th Anniversary of the Vietnam-America Friendship Association (predecessor of today's Vietnam-America Association) will be held at Ho Guom Theater, Hanoi.

The program, organized by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-America Association, is expected to have the participation of representatives from the Party and State leadership, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, various committees, ministries, sectors, the Vietnam-America Association, research institutes, and universities.

On the American side, the event is expected to welcome several U.S. businesses, associations, NGOs in Vietnam, and some American organizations and individuals who are partners of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-America Association.

The anniversary is part of a series of activities commemorating 30 years of Vietnam-U.S. diplomatic relations.

The event contributes to the consistent implementation of the State's independent, self-reliant, peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and developmental foreign policy, promoting the diversification and multilateralization of foreign relations. It affirms Vietnam's policy and stance on developing a comprehensive strategic partnership for peace, cooperation, and sustainable development with the U.S., making a practical contribution to development goals in the new era, the era of Vietnam's rise.

This is also an opportunity for members, partners, and those interested in Vietnam-U.S. people-to-people exchanges to meet, reflect on history, share achievements in bilateral relations, and exchange ideas to enhance the effectiveness and role of the Vietnam-America Association and the Vietnam-U.S. people-to-people exchange channel, contributing to the further development of the two countries' relations in the future.

During the anniversary, audiences will enjoy a special concert titled Connecting Vietnam-America Melodies featuring renowned artists from both countries with a carefully selected repertoire.

This is a rare occasion for Vietnamese audiences to welcome the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra under the baton of international conductor Henry Cheng, with the participation of pianist Maxim Lando, divo Tung Duong; artists Mikaela Ayira, Duong Duc Hai, and clarinetist Tran Khanh Quang...
