Service Department for Diplomatic Corps strengthens connectivity, supports young workers

WVR - On May 30-31, the Service Department for Diplomatic Corps, under Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized a meeting and exchange program for young workers in Thanh Hoa, aimed at raising legal awareness, enhancing communication efforts, and creating a forum for interaction and connection for Vietnamese workers employed at foreign agencies and organizations in Vietnam.

This activity is part of the regular program series by the Service Department for Diplomatic Corps to support Vietnamese workers employed at embassies, international organizations, foreign media agencies, and non-governmental organizations in Vietnam. It is not only an opportunity to update new legal regulations related to labor and wages but also contributes to strengthening the bond between workers and state management agencies as well as related units.

According to Nguyen Tho Xuong, Head of Labour Management for the Diplomatic Corps, one of the key focuses of the program is to disseminate new legal regulations on labor and wages effective from 2026. In the context of the ongoing improvement of the labor policy and legal system to better ensure the legitimate rights and interests of workers, timely updates on new regulations are practically significant. They help workers fully understand their rights and obligations, while also enhancing their legal compliance awareness during their work.

Not only focusing on communication and knowledge dissemination, the program also aims to build an environment for interaction and experience sharing among workers from various agencies and organizations. This is an opportunity for delegates to discuss challenges and obstacles encountered during their work, share professional experiences, and expand their network within the community of Vietnamese workers employed by foreign organizations and individuals.

Phan Ha Vi, currently working at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Vietnam, highly appreciates the role of the Service Department for Diplomatic Corps as a bridge connecting workers with state management agencies. According to her, through meeting programs, dialogues, and policy dissemination, workers are timely updated on new legal regulations directly related to their rights and obligations, thereby feeling more secure in their work at foreign agencies and organizations.

Sharing her impressions after the program, Thach Quynh Anh, currently working at the Embassy of Brunei in Vietnam, stated that what she found most satisfying was the practical attention from state management agencies towards Vietnamese workers employed at foreign agencies and organizations. According to Quynh Anh, besides being informed about new legal regulations, workers also have the opportunity to directly exchange, express opinions, and receive specific answers to their concerns.

Quynh Anh also praised the open and friendly atmosphere of the program. It is not only an occasion for workers to update their knowledge and new policies but also an opportunity to meet and interact with people in similar work situations, thereby expanding relationships and strengthening the bond within the community of Vietnamese workers employed by foreign organizations and individuals.

According to Quynh Anh, the program has helped workers better understand their rights and responsibilities, while also boosting their confidence in their work. Through this, workers also clearly perceive the accompanying and supportive role of the Service Department for Diplomatic Corps in caring for and protecting their legitimate rights and interests.
