Speaking at the meeting, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh emphasized the important role of Vietnamese women in the cultural and spiritual life of the community.
The beauty of Vietnamese women in Thailand is always accompanied by the Vietnamese Ao Dai. The Ao Dai not only reflects aesthetic culture but also conveys pride and affection towards the homeland.
The establishment of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Cultural Association marks a significant milestone, showcasing the proactive and creative role of the Vietnamese community in promoting Vietnamese culture to Thai and international friends.
With the support of the community and the encouragement of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Cultural Association, the Association organized the Vietnamese Ao Dai Cultural Festival, leaving a particularly profound impression of traditional Tet culture within the framework of the 2026 Homeland Spring Festival organized by the Consulate General in Khon Kaen.

Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh highly appreciated the positive activities in recent times and expressed hope that the Association will continue to collaborate and contribute cultural Ao Dai performances in events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand in the near future. These activities not only connect the community but also create a cultural space that promotes people-to-people exchanges, contributing to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand.
On behalf of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Cultural Association, President Phan Thi Hong expressed sincere gratitude for the support and active assistance of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen since the early days of the Association's establishment.
To practically celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Thailand diplomatic relations, the Association has proactively developed a work plan with several prominent activities expected to be held at the end of August 2026.
The first Vietnam-Thailand Ao Dai Beauty Contest in 2026 will kick off an annual program honoring the beauty of women in the traditional costumes of Vietnam and Thailand. The Association is also actively developing a proposal to organize over 1,000 Vietnamese expatriates to participate in forming the national flag, affirming patriotism and community solidarity.
