Promoting human rights in Viet Nam through photos

The exhibition 'For the happiness of every person' has highlighted Viet Nam’s achievements in protecting and promoting human rights.

The Ministry of Information and Communications has coordinated with the People’s Committee of Lao Cai province and other authorities to organize an exhibition of photos and national archival records of promoting human rights in Viet Nam, namely “For the happiness of every person”.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition on December 23, 2021, Mr. Phan Tam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications said that this is the second year in a row the Ministry has held a digital exhibition on the platform owned by Viet Nam and followed by a series of proactive activities about Viet Nam's efforts and achievements in the work of protecting and promoting human rights.

This exhibition chooses a new way of doing things as the Ministry of Information and Communications supports the core set of documents for the locality so that on that basis, localities continue to supplement and develop data with their own local characteristics; thereby promoting the resource strength of the whole political system in human rights communication and actively developing a database on human rights.

With 200 photos and records collected and noted both in Vietnamese and English, the exhibition is arranged into 4 main sections: The group of ancient documents reflecting human right concept in the Vietnamese feudal dynasties; Achievements of ensuring and promoting human rights in Viet Nam from 1945 to now; Protection of human rights in context of Covid-19 pandemic; Achievement of promoting human rights in local areas.

The exhibition aims at raising the public’s awareness about human rights, contributing to raising awareness of human rights among the people, State management agencies at all levels, business managers and especially law enforcement team.
