On the afternoon of June 4, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang provided information related to the ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) 2026.
The 3rd ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) will take place from June 9-10 in Hanoi with the theme “Shaping a Common Future: Peace, Prosperity, People-Centered”.
The Ministry Spokesperson stated that the Forum includes a variety of activities, with plenary sessions on topics such as resilience, conflict prevention, artificial intelligence, energy security, and development models. There will also be side events including a Dialogue among Southeast Asian political parties, the ASEAN Cities Leaders Conference, a Mekong sub-region roundtable, the Southeast Asian Youth Roundtable, and a discussion on AI governance.
According to Pham Thu Hang, the Forum is expected to be attended by key leaders, senior leaders from Vietnam and several ASEAN member countries, representatives from international organizations, research institutes, businesses, localities, as well as domestic and international experts and scholars. To date, the organizing committee has recorded over 600 delegates registered to attend the Forum.
“We hope that with the participation of a large number of delegates, the Forum will generate many new ideas, innovative solutions, and open up significant cooperation opportunities to realize common goals for a cohesive and proactive ASEAN, people-oriented. We hope the Forum will receive attention and coverage from you, the journalists,” said the Ministry Spokesperson.
