Students from two nations debate on Vietnam's green growth

Launched in March 2026, the program, with the message "Discover Vietnam – Inspire Sustainable Development – Create the Future," attracted students from both countries through two rounds: a Quiz on Vietnam and Debates on global issues.

The unique feature of the contest lies in the cross-national team model in the Debate Round, where Nguyen Sieu students and Danish students not only compete but also collaborate to build perspectives and propose solutions for global issues, particularly green economic development and Vietnam's green growth. Sharp arguments, multidimensional perspectives, and a positive debating spirit demonstrated the younger generation's deep concern and responsibility for sustainable development issues.

"We want each student not only to learn for their own success but also to know how to contribute positively to the community and the world, becoming future creators with responsibility and understanding," Thuy emphasised.

At the awards ceremony, the Organising Committee honoured outstanding teams with a diverse system of awards: Cultural Discovery Award, Green Ambassador Award, Green Innovation Award, and Green Future Award.

The awards recognise academic excellence while honouring the spirit of creativity, cooperation, and the role of "ambassadors spreading" in spreading the message of sustainable development among students of the two schools. Notably, Danish students receiving the Green Future Award not only received the championship trophy and certificate but also round-trip tickets from Denmark to Vietnam from Vietnam Airlines, along with many other valuable prizes.

From Hanoi to Copenhagen: A journey of cultural exchange and building a sustainable future

Not just an academic competition, the trip to Denmark opened up a meaningful cultural and international learning experience for Nguyen Sieu students. Within the program framework, students participated in many exchange activities with students from Niels Brock Business College, such as studying in an international classroom model, group work, visiting creative spaces, and directly experiencing the educational environment in Denmark.

In addition to academic activities, students also had the opportunity to explore iconic green urban development projects in Copenhagen, a city known as one of the world's leading sustainable urban areas. Real-life experiences in green transportation, urban planning, public spaces, and eco-friendly lifestyles helped students broaden their perspectives, nurture global citizenship thinking, and spark many creative ideas for the future.

The exchange trip also allowed Nguyen Sieu students to become "young cultural ambassadors," introducing the beauty of Vietnam's country, people, and identity to international friends through connection activities, cultural exchanges, and daily life interactions with local students. From conversations and group activities to real-life experiences, students practised adaptability, intercultural communication, and confidence in an international environment.

The activity is part of the development orientation of international exchange and exchange programs by Nguyen Sieu International (NSI) – the unit responsible for implementing international educational services within the Nguyen Sieu Education Ecosystem. With the aim of building a continuous learning ecosystem, NSI not only organises short-term experience programs but also develops the Buddy System model, connecting Vietnamese students with international friends to enhance cooperation capacity, global thinking, and integration skills.

In the future, NSI will continue to expand Summer Camp programs, integrating LEGO STEM orientation, combining cultural, academic, and creative experiences, and providing students with the opportunity to learn through practice in a diverse international environment.

The series of activities from the competition to the exchange program in Denmark not only left academic marks and memorable experiences but also helped affirm the quality of bilingual–international training at Nguyen Sieu School, where students are nurtured to become brave, confident, and responsible global citizens.
