All of the latest patients were on the same flight VN0054 of Vietnam Airlines with Ha Noi's first COVID-19 patient, 26-year old woman, who returned to Vietnam from the UK on March 2.
All the new patients are foreigners, including 7 from England, one from Mexico, and one from Iceland, aged between 58-74, according to the Ministry of Health.
Four of them traveled to the northern province of Quang Ninh, 2 to the northern province of Lao Cai, 2 to the central coastal city of Da Nang, and one to the central coastal province of Thua Thien-Hue.
The British citizen in Thua Thien-Hue was tested positive for the virus this morning at the local Center for Disease Control. Her health condition is reportedly stable without symptoms of cough and fever.
Meanwhile, other 13 patients are also reportedly in stable health conditions.
Of the total 30 patients confirmed so far, 16 had been cleared of the virus and exited hospitals.
