No reports of Vietnamese citizens affected by earthquake in the Philippines: Embassy

WVR - Regarding the earthquake on June 8 in southern Philippines that resulted in numerous casualties and injuries, information from the Vietnamese Embassy in the Philippines indicates that, to date, no Vietnamese citizens have been reported as victims of the earthquake.

Following the directive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Philippines is actively working with local authorities to closely monitor developments following the earthquake. They are coordinating closely with Vietnamese associations and communities in the area to assess the situation of Vietnamese citizens and are prepared to implement protective measures if necessary.

Simultaneously, Vietnamese Representative Missions in other countries and nearby regions are closely monitoring the post-earthquake situation, promptly issuing warnings and providing assistance to affected citizens.

Vietnamese citizens in the Philippines facing difficulties are urged to immediately contact the 24/7 citizen protection hotline of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Philippines at 63 939 139 5218 or the citizen protection hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at 84 981 848 484 for assistance.
