Nghe An ready for the Sunflower Festival 2019
In order to promote tourism activities events to attract tourists, as well as to promote and advertise on cultural and tourism potentials, advantages, products and specialties of locals and local companies on Nghe An province in general and in Western Nghe An in specific, the People’s Committee of Nghe An has promulgated the Plan to organize the Sunflower Festival 2019.

The Sunflower festival 2019 would last for 3 days (27 – 29/12/2019). Main activities of the festival would be held in Nghia Dan district, co-hosted by the Nghia Dan People’s Committee and TH Group.
The festival is held in Nghia Dan in order to establish the district as an attractive destination, with new, unique experimental tourism product; connecting with other tours and destinations in Western Nghe An tourism, as well as cross-country tourism along the Ho Chi Minh trail; contributing to reducing the seasonality of Nghe An tourism; creating jobs to increase the locals’ incomes.
Included activities in the Sunflower Festival 2019 would be a food festival, exhibition on agricultural products and goods of Western Nghe An district; photo tour to explore the sunflower field and Western Nghe An destination; summer-spring sightseeing with Vietravel.

In preparation for the sunflower festival, TH Milk Joint Stock Company has expanded the sunflower field up to 100 hectares. By December, the vast sunflower field would flourish with its shiny yellow, creating an enticing beauty that attracts tens of thousands of tourist arrivals over the recent years. Nowadays, sunflower has become the signature flower whenever Nghe An is mentioned and has served as an important highlight to attract domestic and international tourists, contributed to advertised famous landscapes and unique cultural values.
The beauty of the flower field has soon been spread on Facebook and shared by the Internet community, making Nghia Dan an attractive tourism destination, known by many tourists, therefore creating favorable conditions to elevate Nghia Dan’s image and to foster tourism services.
Aside from planting flowers to greet tourists, Nghia Dan People’s Committee would organize numerous unique cultural and artistic activities during the days of the festival. Notably, during the artistic exchange and ceremony of the Sunflower festival 2019, there would also be a low-ranged artistic firework. Aside, the district would have an exhibition on products and souvenirs near the flower hill, along with folk games for tourists to participate; men and women’s volleyball contest; experimental, bidirectional road for tourists to sightsee flower fields and orchards HTX 19/5 – spring flower field Truong Gia Trang and vice versa.

The ceremony of the Sunflower festival 2019 would begin at 8:00 pm on December 27th, 2019 in Nghia Dan town, Nghia Dan district, Nghe An province.
