MOFA receives copies of Credentials from Ambassadors of Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Republic of Korea
WVR - On September 3, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Director General of Directorate of State Protocol and Interpretation Le Cong Dung received copies of the credentials from the Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Republic of Korea to Vietnam.

During the receptions, Director General Le Cong Dung congratulated the Ambassadors on their appointments by their respective governments as Ambassadors to Vietnam. He expressed confidence that the Ambassadors will have a successful term, contributing positively to strengthening and developing the friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Republic of Korea.

Director General Le Cong Dung affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam is always ready to coordinate and support the Ambassadors during their tenure in Vietnam, creating favourable conditions for them to fulfill their assigned tasks. This, in turn, will help promote bilateral relations to become deeper, more substantive, and effective.

The Director General stated that Vietnam values its relations with European countries, including Norway, Belgium, and the Netherlands, and appreciates the positive cooperation results achieved between Vietnam and these countries in recent times. Vietnam wishes to continue enhancing delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels; promoting economic, trade, and investment cooperation; and expanding collaboration in potential areas such as science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, energy, climate change response, and sustainable development.

Regarding Republic of Korea, Director General Le Cong Dung noted that Vietnam highly values the strong development momentum in the bilateral relationship over the years. The two countries upgraded their relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development in 2022.
Republic of Korea is currently one of Vietnam's leading economic partners. Both sides have ample room to enhance cooperation in high technology, industry, trade, investment, education and training, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
The Ambassadors expressed their honor to serve as Ambassadors to Vietnam, thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam for its support, and affirmed their commitment to promoting the friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and their respective countries during their tenure.
Furthermore, the Ambassadors expressed their desire to receive coordination and support from Vietnamese authorities to effectively implement diplomatic activities, thereby contributing to enhancing understanding, trust, and cooperation between Vietnam and Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Republic of Korea.
