Vietnam rejects the subjective and inaccurate assessments of the actual situation in Vietnam as stated in the USCIRF's updated report released on December 9, 2025.
Vietnam's consistent policy is to respect and ensure freedom of belief and religion. In Vietnam, no one is discriminated against based on religion or belief, and the activities of religious organizations are guaranteed in accordance with the law. This is clearly reflected in the 2013 Constitution, Vietnam's legal system, and is respected in practice. Vietnam's policies, efforts, and achievements in ensuring human rights, including religious freedom and freedom of belief, have been recognized and appreciated by many countries.
We have been and will continue to engage in discussions with the United States on issues of mutual concern in a spirit of openness, frankness, and mutual respect, contributing to the promotion of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation, and sustainable development between Vietnam and the United States.
