Mieko Corporation from Japan has proposed an investment plan at the Da River Left Bank Industrial Park in Hoa Binh City.

According to the e-portal of Hoa Binh, the provincial leadership recently held a meeting with representatives from the Mieko Corporation of Japan to discuss the proposal for investing in a factory that produces electronic circuits at the Da River Left Bank Industrial Park in Hoa Binh City.

During the meeting, Atsushi Sakate, deputy chairman of Meiko Corporation, announced that the group was actively planning to construct a factory for manufacturing electronic circuits on the left bank of the Da River.

This endeavor will involve leasing both land and infrastructure components from Da Hop JSC. The project will encompass a sprawling expanse of 9.2 hectares, with an investment capital of around 200 million USD.

Sakate expressed Meiko's desire to forge a harmonious alliance with the province, seeking support to propel the venture to success.

The provincial leadership pledged its full commitment to accompany Meiko throughout the project's journey, providing maximum support in terms of administrative procedures, wastewater management, electricity, and investment in transportation infrastructure.

The aim is to create favorable conditions for Meiko Corporation, as well as other domestic and foreign businesses, to invest in the province.

Meiko stands as one of the world's top corporations specializing in the production and assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs). The company operates five factories in Japan, and two factories in China, and has representative offices and subsidiaries worldwide.

Its primary activities encompass the design, production, and manufacturing of various types of PCBs, along with component assembly onto PCBs and the assembly of complete electronic products.

In Vietnam, Meiko Corporation has invested in the construction of three electronic circuit manufacturing and PCB assembly factories, amounting to a total investment of 500 million USD. These factories provide employment for over 7,000 workers and contribute approximately 30 million USD annually to the state budget.

Having originated as a company specializing in PCB production in Kanagawa province, Japan, back in 1975, Meiko Electronics Corporation has emerged as one of the world's leading corporations in PCB production and electronic component assembly over three decades of development.

In 2006, Meiko embarked on its first electronic factory construction project in Vietnam, situated in the former Ha Tay province.

This state-of-the-art facility covers an expansive area of 170,000 square meters and is conveniently located approximately 60 minutes from Noi Bai International Airport.
