The size of the e-commerce market is expected to expand to US$13 billion this year.

This is part of the Government’s goals enshrined in the master plan for national e-commerce development for the 2021-2025 period.

The Government also expects that 55% of the population will do online shopping by 2025, with average consumer spending rising to US$600 by 20205 from US$202 in 2018.

The country’s e-commerce size was estimated at US$80.6 billion in 2018, up 30% from a year earlier, the White Paper of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy indicated.

With a steady and strong growth rate since 2015, the size of the e-commerce market is expected to expand to US$13 billion this year.
