Accompanying the artists, collector Pham Ngoc Chau introduces the lotus painting collection with the hope to spread the cultural value of Vietnam's national flower. Through these works, the lotus not only emerges as a symbol of purity and resilience but also becomes a bridge connecting art, culture, and tourism of the capital.

Collector Pham Ngoc Chau shared: “For me, each lotus painting is not just an artwork but also a tribute to Ho Tay, to Hanoi, and to the enduring beauty of Vietnamese culture. I hope that art will help the image of the Vietnamese lotus reach further, becoming a cultural and tourism symbol of the capital in the hearts of both domestic and international friends.”

The uniqueness of the collection lies not in mere painting techniques but in its ability to connect art with cultural education. Through the lotus imagery, viewers have the opportunity to reflect on the ethical values, lifestyle, and Vietnamese identity in a modern context.

In each painting, the lotus image is depicted with various shades, lines, and compositions. Some are gentle and serene, reminiscent of compassion; others are strong, with lotus petals rising above the water as a symbol of will and aspiration for development. Each piece is both aesthetically pleasing and prompts dialogue between generations about the qualities that should be preserved and continued, contributing to the spread of Vietnamese cultural values.

Artist Bui Van Khoa impresses with modern artistic language, using geometric shapes and an emotionally rich color palette to express the vibrant life of the lotus. Meanwhile, artist Tan Nguyen takes viewers to the tranquil beauty of ink wash painting, where free-spirited brushstrokes and meaningful spaces evoke the depth of nature and the soul.

In a different tone, artist Nguyen Thi Ngoc Yen brings contemporary, vibrant works, combining bold colors to depict the lotus with a fresh, energetic, and lively artistic language.

It is also a storytelling journey through art, where each lotus petal becomes a symbol of sustainable values, helping to spread the image of the humane, resilient, and aspirational Vietnamese people in the new era.

The convergence of various creative styles in the collection offers viewers a rich artistic experience, from traditional to contemporary. Each artwork is a story, an emotion, and a unique perspective on the beauty of Ho Tay's lotus.

Lecturer, art researcher, and artist Ngo Duc Hoang stated: “I like the theme of the collection. Each painting tells a story: Lotus of Integrity, Lotus of Wisdom, Lotus of Peace, Lotus of Friendship, Lotus of Prosperity, Lotus of Aspiration, Lotus of Identity, Lotus of Sustainability, Lotus of Prosperity, Lotus Reaching Far. These are works that carry the vision and aspirations of the Vietnamese people in the journey of honoring the Lotus in contemporary life.”
