The Ministry of Industry and Trade and Lai Chau Provincial People’s Committee on October 6 launched an Industry and Trade Fair to promote the trade, investment and tourism of Lai Chau Province and other provinces in the Northwest region.

This is an event within the National Trade Promotion Programme approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and an activity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Lai Chau Province (January 1, 2014 - 2024).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People’s Committee Giang A Tinh emphasised that the fair is an important event for Lai Chau Province, opening up opportunities to further foster economic connection and exchange to develop production and trade among provinces and cities in the Northwest region and across the country.

The event is also expected to introduce the most beautiful and authentic images of the land, people, and cultural identity of Lai Chau province, to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.

The fair will take place until October 11, with nearly 299 booths of more than 70 businesses and cooperatives, in the Northwest region.
