Speaking at the signing ceremony in Hanoi, the Indonesian diplomat recognised the USSH’s efforts in popularising his country’s language in Vietnam and hoped it could be continuously taught at the university.
He encouraged students joining Indonesian classes to study more about the country through Darmasiswa scholarship of the Indonesian government.

Two best students will be invited to learn in Indonesia, he said.
Minh said the teaching of the Indonesian language, the number of the users of which is the fourth largest in the world and the largest in ASEAN, is part of the school’s missions to contribute to increasing the role of Vietnam in the bloc.
The USSH is the first university in Hanoi to bring this language into the curriculum.
An Indonesian language course will be started on February 18 with the assistance of Indonesian teachers from the centre for foreign language development strategy of Indonesia’s Ministry of Education and Culture.
Students will learn four lessons per week.
This activity aims to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia.
