The ‘Enjoying Da Nang cuisine and beer space’ festival
This is the event in the special activity series of “Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2022” to attract people and visitors to come and experience, enjoy cuisine and pay a visit and go shopping for typical souvenir products of Da Nang.
Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism, head of the Organising Board of “Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2022” said: “After a long hiatus due to Covid-19, domestic and international tourists have come back and the city's tourism has started to bloom. The Department of Tourism has been focusing on enhancing the promotion of Da Nang destinations via international events and on-site promotion activities. The ‘Enjoying Da Nang cuisine and beer space’ festival aims to diversify tourism products in the summer of 2022, creating a unique and new destination for visitors, with the hope of bringing a dynamic and impressive summer to Da Nang”.
The festival runs from 4:00p.m to 10:30 p.m daily with activities to enjoy regional cuisine and draft beer space, visitors can join in the process of making some famous dishes of Da Nang such as Quang noodles, rice paper, ‘banh beo’ (Vietnamese bloating fern-shaped cake) and ‘banh bot loc' (tapioca dumplings with prawns and pork wrapped in banana leaves) under the guidance of experienced artisans. At the same time, to raise the attractiveness of the event, the Organising Board will organise the contest "Enjoy Banh Xeo Da Nang" for residents and visitors to participate and bring home prizes including travel service experience vouchers, Danang FantastiCity souvenirs…
At the ‘Enjoying Da Nang cuisine and beer space’ festival, Runner up of 2015 Vietnam Masterchef Tuyet Pham will perform and share her recipe and way of decoration of Quang noodle bowl - My Quang at 7pm on 06th July 2022. According to the chef: “Quang noodle bowl not only holds the mission of a traditional and rustic dish of the land of Da Nang - Quang Nam, but more importantly, this is also a typical cultural feature that brings the image of Da Nang, Quang Nam and Central Vietnam to the world. Local people and visitors coming to the Festival will witness the process of Quang noodle. The dish brought success to Ms. Tuyet Pham and they together shared secret recipes to get the special taste of the famous Quang noodle bowl”.
In the heat of June, local people and visitors will have a chance to enjoy the coolness of the beer space at the Festival, attending light movement games, fun activities, winning prizes and enjoying cool beer.
There are 16 stalls displaying Da Nang's souvenirs, OCOP (One Commune - One Product) products and beachwear and a culinary space highlighting 20 stalls serving typical dishes of many Vietnamese localities, such as Quang noodle, pork summer rolls, bun mam (fermented fish noodles, banh xeo (crispy pancakes), vermicelli with grilled meat, vermicelli with fish, spicy beef noodle soup, tea and folk cakes from different regions of Vietnam (U cake, It cake, five-colour silkworm cake, Bo cake...).
