Inauguration of new President of Vietnamese Association in Thailand: Strengthening community unity, promoting Vietnam-Thailand relations

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of Ambassador of Vietnam to Thailand Pham Viet Hung; Consul General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh; Mr. Ratchanee Chunhua, Governor of Udon Thani Province; Mr. Saranyasak Srikrueanet, Governor of Nong Khai Province; along with former President of the General Association Nguyễn Ngọc Thìn, representatives of various departments and agencies of Udon Thani Province, and over 800 prominent expatriates representing the Vietnamese community in Thailand.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Pham Viet Hung acknowledged and highly appreciated the role of the Vietnamese Association in Thailand in strengthening national unity, preserving Vietnamese cultural identity abroad, and actively contributing to enhancing the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand.
Representatives of local authorities and leaders of the two provinces of Udon Thani expressed their appreciation for the practical contributions of the Vietnamese community to local socio-economic development, affirming their continued support to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live, study, and work stably, integrate, and develop.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Ho Van Lam, the new President of the Vietnamese Association in Thailand, expressed his honor and emotion at being entrusted with this responsibility in the new phase by the community.
He extended his heartfelt thanks to the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen, the leadership of local authorities in Thailand, and all expatriates for their continuous support and companionship with the Association over the years.

The new President emphasized that the Vietnamese Association in Thailand will continue to uphold the tradition of solidarity and mutual support among overseas Vietnamese. It will also continuously innovate its operational methods, enhancing the effectiveness of connecting and supporting expatriates in their lives, businesses, and integration into the local society.
Particularly, the Association will focus on preserving and promoting the national cultural identity, strengthening activities that connect with the homeland, and educating the younger Vietnamese generation in Thailand to always be proud of their roots and contribute positively to their homeland.
Mr. Ho Van Lam also affirmed his determination, along with the Executive Committee of the Association, to build a stronger, more united, and deeply integrated Vietnamese community in Thailand. This community will become an important bridge contributing to the strengthening of the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand, making it increasingly robust and effective.
The event is not only a significant milestone for the Vietnamese community in Thailand but also reaffirms the position and role of expatriates in connecting and enhancing the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
