Turning the Impossible into Reality: Stories of Innovation and Perseverance The conference spotlighted inspiring narratives of resilience and innovation, demonstrating how education leaders break barriers and redefine possibilities. Nguyen Xuan Khang, Chairman of the Marie Curie Education System in Hanoi, shared his extraordinary journey of establishing Vietnam’s first private education network post-Doi Moi despite facing “three nos” – no capital, no land, and no workforce. Against all odds, his unwavering determination led to the establishing of a thriving education system serving 10,000 students across three campuses. Reflecting on his journey, he remarked, "When I started, no one believed private education could survive. But I knew that if we dared to lay the foundation, future generations would have a path forward." Similarly, Nguyen Khac Ly, Vice Principal of Phung Khac Khoan High School in Hanoi, revolutionized music education in an under-resourced school. Without dedicated music teachers, he pioneered a grassroots movement enabling over 30% of students to learn to play the guitar and bamboo flute. He firmly believes that education is not just about grades but also about experiences that stir emotions and creativity. Another remarkable story came from Truong Thi Hai Yen, Principal of Le Dinh Chinh Primary School in Dak Lak, who overcame infrastructure and resource limitations to integrate AI-driven teaching methods, ensuring that ethnic minority students in remote regions could access quality, technology-enhanced learning.
