Following President Ho Chi Minh’s example, diplomats uphold dedication in service to the nation and people
WVR - On the morning of May 15, on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890–May 19, 2026), at the Ho Chi Minh President's Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, the Party Cell of the Department of External Relations and Cultural Diplomacy and the Party Cell of the Party Office - Mass Organizations co-organized a thematic inter-party cell activity with the theme “Studying and Following Ho Chi Minh's Ideology, Morality, and Style”.

The program was co-chaired by Nguyen Xuan Anh, Member of the Standing Board of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chief of the Party Office, and Le Thi Hong Van, Member of the Executive Board of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Director General of the Department of External Relations and Cultural Diplomacy, with active and full participation from officials, party members, and non-party members of the Party Cell of the Party Office - Mass Organizations and the Party Cell of the Department of External Relations and Cultural Diplomacy.
The Ho Chi Minh President's Relic Site at the Presidential Palace preserves invaluable works and artifacts from the time President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked there from December 1954 to September 1969.
The delegation offered incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at House 67, which witnessed his final days of living and working, visited his residence, workplace, stilt house, garden, fish pond, and watched a documentary about his final years.

At the thematic activity, Nguyen Van Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh President's Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, shared additional valuable information and documents about President Ho Chi Minh's life, career, and ideology; emphasizing the great value and contemporary significance of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style in the current national construction and defense efforts.
Expressing thanks for the thoughtful and cordial reception by the Management Board of the Relic Site, Nguyen Xuan Anh stated that the thematic activity is an opportunity to widely promote the life and great revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh – Vietnam's first Minister of Foreign Affairs. It also reaffirms the achievements in implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of 2016 by the Politburo on continuing to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, in conjunction with the requirement to innovate leadership thinking and management methods throughout the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He emphasized that the study and political-ideological education within the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has always been prioritized and promoted through many practical activities. This thematic activity contributes to enhancing political and ideological awareness among officials, party members, and the public, while inspiring a sense of responsibility, self-reliance, aspiration for dedication, and the spirit of serving the nation and people among the foreign affairs staff, helping them to deeply understand their roles and responsibilities, thereby striving to fulfill their assigned tasks and contributing to the overall development of the Foreign Affairs sector.
Expressing emotion about the significance of the thematic activity and gratitude to the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh President's Relic Site for their constant support and close cooperation in implementing various activities honoring President Ho Chi Minh, Le Thi Hong Van shared about the results of implementing the Project "Honouring President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam's National Liberation Hero, Outstanding Cultural Figure, Abroad".
Many honouring activities have been widely implemented in over 100 countries and territories worldwide, across all continents, such as statues, memorial sites, plaques, schools, streets, and squares named after Ho Chi Minh, along with many creative intangible honoring forms that have helped spread the noble humanistic values and ideals of Ho Chi Minh to the world, becoming symbols of friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and other countries, a red address for overseas Vietnamese and international friends to learn about and express their affection and respect for Ho Chi Minh.

The officials, party members, and the public of the two party cells were deeply moved to gain a deeper understanding of the life, career, and great revolutionary achievements of President Ho Chi Minh – a shining example of noble morality, who devoted and sacrificed his life for the country and the happiness of the people. President Ho Chi Minh is not only a noble symbol of Vietnam and the faith of Vietnamese people, but his legacy increasingly holds an important position in the "culture of the future", admired, respected, and honoured by progressive humanity.
On this occasion, the leadership of the Relic Site awarded honorary badges to some secretaries and party committee members in recognition of their contributions to party building and the implementation of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style.
The thematic activity affirmed the enduring value and sustainable vitality of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style in the new context; inspiring and energizing officials, party members, and the public of the two party cells to commit to cultivating their character, morality, and lifestyle following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style; making the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style a regular content; contributing to improving the quality of party cell activities and building a clean and strong party organization, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
