Thuy is notably the only Vietnamese representative to receive an invitation from the organising board of the AYES. The Vietnamese beauty aims to help inspire young people to follow their dreams and overcome any difficulties in their lives with her speech.
The Miss Universe Vietnam runner-up is set to deliver her speech in English in front of thousands of delegates in the Philippines.
The presence of Thuy in her role as a public speaker marks a remarkable achievement for her career in 2019.

Other speakers at the event include Ong Keng Yong, former Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Elizabeth P. Buensuceso, Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN, Elaine Tan, Executive Director of ASEAN Foundation, Varsha K. Ajmera, Chief Operations Officer of World Youth Foundation, and Ediola Pashollari, Secretary General of the World Assembly of Youth (WAY).
The summit will last until February 21.
First held in 2017, AYES has quickly developed into a high-level platform for the student leaders, young professionals, and world changers from the ASEAN Region. It is an opportunity for collaboration with initiatives, advocacies, organisations, and ideas aimed at creating a long-lasting impact for the wider ASEAN community.
This year, the key themes of the summit include Culture and Arts, Science and Technology, Environment and Energy, Health and Social Policy, Business and Economics, and Governance and Policy.
Previously, H’Hen Nie, Miss Universe Vietnam, delivered a powerful speech at the Youth Congress in the Philippines to help raise awareness among young people about education, leadership, and the importance of public services. Present at the event were Leonor G. Robredo, Deputy Prime Minister of the Philippines, and Venus Maria Maria Raj, the fourth runner-up of Miss Universe 2010.
