Ambassador Pham Thi Thanh Binh emphasized that Vietnam-Finland cooperation is a model of successful transition from development cooperation to equal partnership, becoming Finland's largest trading partner in Southeast Asia.
Just a few weeks ago, Vietnam was announced as the only country in the region included in the trade investment list in education and innovation. Thousands of Vietnamese students studying in Finland provide a foundation for high-quality human resource cooperation. The joint statement by the two leaders on upgrading Vietnam-Finland relations to a Strategic Partnership marked a breakthrough development, opening up deeper, more reliable, and comprehensive cooperation than ever before. This serves as a basis for promoting regular high-level exchanges, expanding policy dialogue mechanisms, and enhancing strategic consultations.
Ambassador Binh affirmed her continuous efforts to serve as a bridge to connect the community with the homeland while supporting their integration and development in the host country.
Speaking at the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Denmark Nguyen Le Thanh stated that pioneering countries in innovation, green technology, and sustainability like Denmark see in Vietnam a shared vision for development. Vietnam is an ideal "gateway" to expand the green cooperation chain, serving as a strategic, reliable, and capable partner for long-term collaboration at a new level.

To leverage Denmark's strengths, Ambassador Thanh proposed researching and creating a "Closed-loop Human Resource Cycle", starting with training high-skilled Vietnamese workers to Danish standards in sectors where they are lacking, such as nursing, green industrial trades, and clean agriculture. This workforce would not only address Denmark's labor shortage but also help Vietnamese workers enhance their skills and gain international experience. Upon returning, they would become key experts, bringing capital, technology, and industrial work habits, creating added value for Vietnam's economy.
According to Ambassador Thanh, it is necessary to research and build a strategic consulting cooperation program, where Danish experts advise Vietnam on building foundational data sets and comprehensive design for digital transformation, ensuring high interoperability and usability. This would help Vietnam save time and resources and set the right direction from the start to successfully build a digital government and data economy. Establishing a group of expert advisors to collaborate with relevant domestic ministries and agencies to transfer experience in planning, technology, and policy ecosystem development would help Vietnam move faster towards achieving the Net Zero target. The Danish Embassy will continue to be a close and effective bridge between the two countries.

Speaking at the meeting, General Secretary To Lam affirmed his commitment to listening and valuing proposals aimed at enhancing Vietnam's value and position. He emphasized creating the most favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community abroad to integrate into the local society. This is also a very important task of the Party and State concerning the overseas Vietnamese community. The overseas Vietnamese community not only contributes positively to the development of host countries but also serves as ambassadors, cultural envoys, and crucial bridges to promote cooperation between Vietnam and other countries.
Informing the community about some prominent features of the country's situation, the General Secretary emphasized that while many achievements have been made, it is essential to ensure stable and sustainable long-term growth rather than achieving it at any cost. The State has also implemented various policies to improve the people's living standards.
