WVR - On March 19, General Phan Van Giang, Vietnam's Minister of National Defense, led a Vietnamese defense delegation to the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) to participate in the 10th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange.

| The Dongxing Border Guard Company, located in Dongxing Town, Dongxing City, was established in September 1969. It primarily manages and controls about 30 km of border. The company's barracks cover approximately 46,700m2, consisting of four barrack buildings and three platoons under its command. | General Phan Van Giang and General Dong Jun visited the "Ho Chi Minh Sea Trail" Historical Site at the Fangchenggang Tourist Port, Guangxi. The two Ministers toured the site and viewed a wall displaying content related to the Ho Chi Minh Sea Trail. In March 1968, with approval from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Fangchenggang Port began construction to ensure combat readiness, codenamed "Guangxi Project 322". This opened a secret 35-nautical-mile sea transport route, breaking the U.S. naval blockade against Vietnam, supporting Vietnam's resistance against the U.S. (Photo: Tuan Huy) |
