The two Ministers expressed their delight at the positive developments in the multifaceted cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Mexico in recent times. Bilateral cooperation mechanisms, including Political Consultations between the two Foreign Ministries and the Joint Committee on Economic-Trade and Investment Cooperation, continue to be maintained regularly and effectively. Additionally, existing legal frameworks are being actively implemented, and both sides are continuing negotiations to establish new cooperation frameworks in various fields.

The two Ministers also noted that bilateral trade continues to grow rapidly, effectively leveraging opportunities from the CPTPP Agreement, of which both Vietnam and Mexico are members.

On this occasion, Minister Le Hoai Trung proposed that the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinate with relevant Mexican ministries and agencies to further facilitate the market access of products from both countries, thereby more effectively exploiting the potential for economic, trade, and investment cooperation.

Discussing future cooperation directions, the two Ministers agreed to continue close coordination to elevate Vietnam-Mexico relations to new heights. This will be achieved through promoting high-level visits and contacts, effectively implementing existing cooperation mechanisms, accelerating negotiations to sign important cooperation documents, leveraging the CPTPP Agreement, and enhancing coordination within the APEC framework as Vietnam and Mexico will successively host APEC in 2027 and 2028.
