During his visit to Venezuela, Minister Le Hoai Trung met with Interim President Delcy Rodriguez Gomes; General Secretary of the United Socialist Party (PSUV), Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace Diosdado Cabello; held talks with Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto; attended the Vietnam-Venezuela Business Forum with Vice President Calixto Ortega and Minister of Foreign Trade Johann Alvarez; visited the National Memorial and laid a wreath at the Monument of Venezuelan National Hero Simon Bolivar and offered flowers at the Monument of President Ho Chi Minh; and inaugurated the new headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela, alongside Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto.

In meetings with the Venezuelan side, Minister Le Hoai Trung conveyed the warm regards and greetings from General Secretary, President To Lam, and other leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam to Interim President Delcy Rodriguez and senior Venezuelan leaders. He also shared the main outcomes of the 14th National Party Congress and some of Vietnam's recent achievements.

Minister Le Hoai Trung affirmed that Vietnam always values the traditional friendship and Comprehensive Partnership with Venezuela, an important partner with significant potential for Vietnam in South America. He also reiterated Vietnam's consistent support for the constitutional government of Venezuela in its efforts to develop the country for the benefit of the Venezuelan people.

Minister Le Hoai Trung assessed that the traditional friendship and Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela have developed positively, based on the good relations fostered by the late President Hugo Chavez and successive Vietnamese leaders. He emphasized that this working visit to Venezuela demonstrates the determination and desire of the Party and State of Vietnam to further develop the good relations between the two countries in the new phase, deepening political relations, enhancing trust, and expanding practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest in the spirit of mutual development, complementarity, and support in the new context.

Venezuelan leaders expressed their pleasure in welcoming Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung on his first visit to Venezuela as Foreign Minister. They recalled the positive impressions from past visits to Vietnam and the warm sentiments of senior Vietnamese leaders towards Venezuela.

Venezuelan leaders also expressed admiration for the achievements in Vietnam's renovation process and its remarkable socio-economic development, as well as its prestigious position on the international stage, which provides valuable lessons for Venezuela on its path to development.

Interim President Delcy Rodriguez and Venezuelan ministers expressed confidence that the Vietnamese people, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by General Secretary, President To Lam, will achieve significant victories in the new era of development. They thanked Vietnam for its stance and support for the Venezuelan government and people, affirming that Venezuela will continue to be steadfast and flexible on its chosen path. They emphasized that Venezuela always regards Vietnam as a strategic and important partner in the region and globally, and expressed a hope to deepen the traditional friendship and Comprehensive Partnership with Vietnam, making it more substantive and elevated in the future.

Both sides agreed to continue promoting the organization of the Third Session of the Vietnam-Venezuela Intergovernmental Committee in October this year in Caracas, Venezuela; to maintain regular and effective political consultation mechanisms between the two Foreign Ministries; and to enhance cooperation in areas where both countries have strengths and needs, such as agriculture and agricultural trade, telecommunications, oil and energy, and to closely coordinate and support each other at the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, and other international organizations where both countries are members.

In this spirit, both sides also agreed on the bilateral agenda for the 2026-2030 period, focusing on key pillars including political-diplomatic, security-defense, agriculture-food security, energy security and oil, economic-trade and investment, telecommunications-technology and healthcare, culture-education, sports, and environment. They agreed that the two Foreign Ministries will develop a Vietnam-Venezuela Action Plan to implement, striving for concrete and practical results towards the 20th anniversary of establishing the Vietnam-Venezuela Comprehensive Partnership framework in 2027.
