Flight carries first Mongolian visitors to Viet Nam since COVID-19 outbreak

A flight carrying more than 130 Mongolian visitors landed at Noi Bai International Airport in Ha Noi on the morning of March 24, marking the first Mongolian tourists to visit Viet Nam since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is the initial achievement of the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia’s in the promotion of Vietnamese tourism to Mongolia’s State agencies and tourism businesses.

Earlier, Odbayar, the director of Cruise Tour Company, held a working session with representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia on March 23, during which he conveyed his thanks to the Ambassador and embassy staff for their support in the launch of a direct air route connecting Ulaanbaatar and H Nnoi.

He said that the company is working with the Aero Mongolia airlines to operate 15 Ulaanbaatar-Ha Noi direct flights with a frequency of one flight a week in order to meet the travel demand of Mongolians. The flights are expected to boost people-to-people exchange between the peoples of the two countries.

The company also plans to cooperate with Vietnamese partners to establish regular commercial flights to bring Vietnamese tourists and businessmen to Mongolia, he added.

In reply, the representative from the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia reaffirmed that the Embassy is willing to make every effort to connect businesses and promote people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

The embassy has actively taken measures to introduce and promote Vietnamese tourism among Mongolia’s state management agencies on tourism and travel businesses in order to attract more Mongolians visitors to Viet Nam.
