On May 3, 2025, the Spotlight International Art 2025 event was held in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. This year’s edition was co-organized by the Mongolian Culture Council and the Mongol Art Gallery, in collaboration with the embassies of Germany, the Republic of Korea, the United States, Japan, France, and Vietnam.

The annual event aims to showcase the unique cultural identities of participating countries through various forms of art and traditional games, offering Mongolian and international audiences a rich and engaging cultural experience. The festival attracted a large number of attendees, especially local children.

Each participating country presented its own cultural highlights: Germany introduced printmaking using agricultural products; the Republic of Korea captivated visitors with traditional handcrafted masks; the United States offered Native American mask-making activities; Japan engaged the crowd with wooden folk games; and France invited participants to color works by renowned artists.

Notably, the Vietnamese booth drew significant attention with demonstrations of traditional conical hat (non la) making and the folk game O an quan. Many visitors lined up to take part in the hands-on experience of crafting Vietnam’s iconic hat.
